Senado Square.

Leal Senado Square The Leal Senado Square is a cluster of neoclassical buildings,
which houses Macau’s old senate building as well as the Holy House of Mercy,
the post office and numerous churches and a temple.
Its pavement is paved with the traditional Portuguese tiling known as “Calcada”,
which features a wave like pattern.
The place evokes a Mediterranean atmosphere and yet it touches on the contemporary as it is lined with the more familiar shops such as Watson’s,
Bath and Body, Mango, Starbucks and McDonalds.
Yet what has taken me about the place is how these shops have embraced Senado Square’s architecture and how they have integrated themselves into it.
And for the bargain hunting shoppers such as myself,
there are also shops here that offer unique and affordable finds.
